Not good to have to withdraw but swinging very poorly is putting a lot of unwanted strain on the back.. body and mind need a rest!! 😔🏌🏻

It’s been a rough go for Danny Willett lately. He has struggled with his game for some time now. That struggle includes a missed cut in his defense of his 2016 Masters victory last month. His 2016-2017 mixed season between the PGA and European tours has been disappointing as well. His record now includes 4 missed cuts and one withdrawal in 9 starts.
Willett was already in the headlines last month for another negative reason. His caddie and long-time friend Jonathan Smart quit. An on-course disagreement over what Willett felt was a bad yardage seemed to be the last straw. Reports are that Smart was “fed up with being a constant scapegoat.”
Perhaps some time away from golf will allow Willett to reset himself, as he said, in both body and mind.
